LOVE DISARMED FLATWARE BY REED AND BARTON - 1897 VINTAGE - 40 PIECES.  This pattern was originally issued by Reed and Barton in 1897.  It is my understanding that they reissued the pattern in the 1940's.  Mexico and various other rogue companies had played with the pattern over the years.  This set is very heavy and very detailed.  I believe all of this to be of the original vintage.  The set includes 8 four piece place settings of knife, dinner fork, salad fork, and teaspoon.  There are 8 serving pieces which includes an extremely heavy salad set, one tablespoon, two slotted tablespoons, gravy ladle, butter knife, sugar shell, making a total of 40 pieces being offered.  The set is in excellent condition and is housed in a modest wooden case.
