Description

KM 97, three year type, issued for the Kingdom of Westphalia under French control.  Quarter dollar size silver coin, with the king's monogram on the obverse.
Napoleon created the Kingdom of Westphalia in 1807 for his brother Jerome(Hieronymus), using lands taken from several German states.  As the French lost control of those lands in 1813-14, they were returned to their former owners.
