The
COLUMBUS NUTCRACKER
, a variation of the classic nutcracker design was created by the well known designer Damarj.  It is one of a number of nutcrackers showcasing various traditional occupations.  Susan Portra created stitch guides for a number of these nutcrackers, a sure way to quickly complete a holiday favorite!
A variety of stitches and fibers may include trame padding, French knots, satin, slanted gobelin, tent, basketweave, turkey tufting, back stitch, oblique slav, rice, brick, mosaic, random long stitch, darning, wool, rayon, cotton, metallic which create texture and dimension. An outline "map" coordinates with the written instructions, clear detailed charts illustrate stitches.
The nutcracker is hand painted on 18 count Zweigart mono canvas. The canvas and stitch guide have been sealed within plastic bags.  There are no stains, odors or other damage.
Finishing options include a framed picture, a pillow insert or a stand up.
